Privacy Policy

AstroChat Live is an AI astrologer you chat with on WhatsApp. This policy explains what information AstroChat Live collects when you use the service, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It applies to this website and to your conversations with our WhatsApp number.

By starting a chat with us on WhatsApp, you agree to the practices described here.

We only collect what the service needs to work. That falls into four groups:

• Birth details you give us: your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. A birth chart cannot be generated without them, and you choose whether to share them.

• Your messages: the questions you ask and the answers our AI returns, so the conversation has context and you can pick it up later.

• Basic WhatsApp data: the phone number you message us from.

• How you use this website: pages visited, device type, approximate region and the page that sent you here. We also record how visitors move through the site, and we measure whether a visit came from one of our ads. This is separate from your WhatsApp chat, and is described in full below.

We do not ask for and do not want your financial details, government ID numbers, health records, or passwords. Please do not send them.

• To generate your kundli, horoscope, and compatibility readings.

• To keep the thread of a conversation so you do not have to repeat yourself.

• To improve the quality of the AI's answers and fix problems with the service.

• To respond to you when you contact us for support.

• To meet legal obligations where an authority lawfully requires it.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your birth details, your readings, or anything you say in the chat with advertisers, and the advertising tools on this website cannot reach them. What we do share is website behaviour, described in the next section.

This website uses third party tools that collect information about your visit. They run on the website only. None of them can see your WhatsApp conversation, your birth details, or your readings.

• Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics: which pages are visited, device type, approximate region and the referring page. Used to understand what people read.

• Microsoft Clarity: records your session on the site, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can see where the site confuses people.

• Meta Pixel: tells us whether your visit came from one of our advertisements, and lets Meta build advertising audiences that may be used to show ads to you or to people like you.

You can block all of this with your browser’s tracking protection, by blocking third party cookies, or with a content blocker. The service works exactly the same either way, and nothing on this site is withheld from you for blocking it.

Running the service means a small number of providers process data on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes above:

• WhatsApp (Meta) delivers the messages themselves and is governed by its own privacy policy.

• AI model providers process the text of your questions to generate answers.

• Hosting providers run this website.

• Analytics, session recording and advertising providers measure how the website is used, as set out above.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a person or the integrity of the service.

We keep your birth details and chat history for as long as your account with the service is active, so your past readings stay available to you. If you ask us to delete them, we do so within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep a record.

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• Show you the personal data we hold about you.

• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.

• Delete your birth details and chat history.

• Withdraw the consent you gave us, at any time.

Write to support@astrochatlive.com from the number or address you use with us and we will action it. Withdrawing consent means we can no longer generate readings for you, since the birth details are what the readings are built from.

Messages between you and us travel over WhatsApp’s encrypted transport. On our side, access to stored data is restricted to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute safety, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

The service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
